Potato Shrimp Ball

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 15- 20 minutes

  • 1/2 cup HOME CHOICE PEPPER SHRIMPS (pre soaked for 10 minutes & drain)
  • 1 tbsp cilantro or Thyme chopped
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic chopped
  • 2 sprig scallions chopped
  • 1 lb flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder or 1 tsp instant yeast.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1lb potato (boiled and crushed)
  • Oil for deep frying.


  1. Mix flour, baking powder or instant yeast, 1/2 tsp salt and enough water to make a soft dough. Set aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Cream Potatoes, add shrimp, cilantro or thyme, onions, garlic, scallions, black pepper, 1/2 tsp salt& crushed pepper.
  3. Divide dough into 5 large balls. Roll out each dough until flat to about 1/5 inch thick on a dry floured surface. Use a cup or any round mould to make circles shapes.
  4. Put each circle shape in palm of hand and Spoon 1 tbsp of potato mixture in each circle of flour, gather edges& close. This will shape into a ball.
  5. Deep fry for five minutes. Making sure all sides are fried.

Makes 30 balls
